Friday 5th May saw Dapper Fox’s first foray into the world of the Fashion Show. With St Nicholas Hospice being such a fantastic charity we were more than happy to literally throw ourselves into it.
The event has been running since 2012 and has now raised more £31,000 for St Nicholas Hospice. Local fashion retailers are asked to come and showcase their products for the crowd of about 400 people at the Apex in Bury St Edmunds.
The outfits we included were a selection of formal and casual wear with Ben’s 3 piece Check Suit, made from a Dormeuil cloth and my Navy with Bright Blue Check Jacket being a couple of the highlights from the evening. With the opportunity to showcase our stock, and ourselves, a bit of showboating was obviously involved.
Surrounded by some fantastic local businesses we are very proud to be part of a unique set of boutiques and chain stores. The looks of Javelin, who’s models were fantastic on the day, the ladies from Elizabeth Gash and the fantastic designs of the students at the West Suffolk College meant that there really was something for everyone at the show. The diverse nature of what Bury has to offer, especially in terms of fashion, is fast making the town a very attractive destination for shoppers. Long may it continue!
Most importantly, around £11,000 was raised for St Nicholas Hospice on the night and we couldn’t be happier to be involved. Everyone appeared to have as much fun as we did and any night which ends up in "The Stillery", drinking cocktails and pretending you are Britain's next top model, can’t be a bad one.
